There are 2,660 respondents reported as deceased by the survey by 1990: 874 blacks, 20 non-black Hispanics, 1,730 non-Hispanic whites (and 36 other race not included in the above analysis). If we test the null hypothesis that the rates of error are the same for blacks and non-Hispanic whites, we reject the hypothesis at the 0.001 percent confidence level for the VS90 Match, the SSA12 Match, and the VS08 Match.
