In “Polarisation vision: overcoming challenges of working with a property of light we barely see” (Foster et al. 2018) we provide a basic description of how Stokes parameters can be estimated and used to calculate the angle of polarisation (AoP). Eq. 5 (page 5) should be,

$$\mathrm{AoP}=\frac{1}{2}arctan\left(\frac{{\mathrm{S}}_2}{{\mathrm{S}}_1}\right).$$
