Corrigendum

New Phytologist 204 (2014), 854–863.

Since its publication the authors of Schatz et al. (2014) have brought to our attention errors in their article. First, in the Materials and Methods, section ‘Multiple alignment of Atg8’, the accession number of Atg8b should read ‘BK008761’, not ‘BK008760’. Second, in the legend to Fig. 3 the description of the symbols (open and closed squares) is incorrect. The corrected legend to Fig. 3 is below.

Figure 3.

Figure 3

Inhibition of the autophagy‐like process reduced viral release. Assessment of host–virus dynamics in response to wortmannin treatment by quantification of intracellular (representing viral DNA replication) (a) and extracellular (b) viral count during infection with (open squares) and without (closed squares) 1 μM wortmannin estimated by quantitative PCR (qPCR) using primers for the mcp gene (for a and b, n = 3; results presented are average ± SD). Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis of infected cultures (c, e) and cultures infected in the presence of wortmannin (d, f) at 24 and 48 hpi. (g, h) Higher magnifications of the boxed areas in (e) and (f), respectively. Bars, 500 nm.

We apologize to our readers for these mistakes.
