Editor’s note

Maria Abbracchio has retired as an Associate Editor, after serving with much success and skill since the founding of the Journal. She has been a very special contributor to the development of the Journal and she will be much missed. She will be replaced by two new Associate Editors, Cinzia Volonté (P2X/P2Y receptors, neurodegeneration/neuroinflammation) and Yong Tang (Chinese Medicine).
