In the original published version of this article, an error was present in discussion section 4.3. The value given for the IC50 of pectin was incorrect. The correct value is 161.93 ± 31.57. The authors apologize for this mistake. This correction does not, in any way, compromise the findings of the study, either in terms of the methodology, results, or interpretations drawn from the data therein. Both the HTML and PDF versions of the article have been updated to correct the error.
