The references “Lopez et al., 2003”, “Martens and Gabel, 1988” and “Ahvenjarvi et al., 2000” listed in the manuscript body should be “López et al., 2003”, “Martens and Gäbel, 1988” and “Ahvenjärvi et al., 2000”. When used for the first time, the abbreviations “DMI” and “GE” should be bolded and word “cold-ice” should be “ice-cold”. The word “interrelationship” in the citation “Short communication: interrelationship between butyrate and glucose supply on butyrate and glucose oxidation by ruminal epithelial preparations” by Wiese et al. should be “Interrelationship”. In the citation “Effect of exogenous butyrate on the gastrointestinal tract of sheep. II. Hydrolytic activity in the rumen and structure and function of the small intestine” by Górka et al., “J. Animal Sci.” should be “J. Anim. Sci.”.
