The February 20, 2012 article by Amir et al entitled, “Prospective Study Evaluating the Impact of Tissue Confirmation of Metastatic Disease in Patients With Breast Cancer,” (J Clin Oncol 30:587-592, 2012) contained an error.
Under the Change in Therapy section, the first sentence was given as “Seventeen women (14%; 95% CI, 8.4% to 1.5%) had a change in treatment as compared with the prebiopsy therapeutic plan.” However, it should have read as “Seventeen women (14%; 95% CI, 8.4% to 21.5%) had a change in treatment as compared with the prebiopsy therapeutic plan.”
The online version has been corrected in departure from the print. Journal of Clinical Oncology apologizes for the error.
