Not only the Central and South Asian and East European countries are becoming more important economically and politically, they are also contributing increasingly in the arenas of science and culture. These regions, in not much distant history have contributed immensely for the advancement of mankind in all aspects of life which is evident from the rich history of these regions. And now in the changed global order, they are reassuming their glorious role as they had played in the past. This has created a need for more platforms to carry to the world scientific achievements of researchers from these thriving regions. No wonder a peer reviewed journal on gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases was long felt. Euroasian Journal of Hepato-Gastroenterology was published under the auspicious of Euroasian Gastroenterological Association to meet this demand.

The journal is also facilitating research by the young stars of the region by publishing abstracts presented at the annual conferences of Euroasian Gastroenterological Association.
