In the Methods, a lectin from Helix pomatia should have been abbreviated as HPA:

• Galactose-deficient-IgA1 (Gd-IgA1) was measured by lectin ELISA, as described,^21,22 except that N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc)–specific lectin from Helix aspersa was replaced with a lectin from Helix pomatia (HPA; Sigma-Aldrich, St. Louis, MO).²³ HPA reactivity of IgA1 in each sample was expressed as units of Gd-IgA1 per specific amount of IgA1.
