In the September 2017 issue of Breastfeeding Medicine (vol. 12, no. 7; 436–442), the article titled Associations Between Postpartum Depression, Breastfeeding, and Oxytocin Levels in Latina Mothers by Sandraluz Lara-Cinisomo et al., requires a correction because of an error that was a function of a data coding issue. As a result, EDPS anxiety and STAI-S anxiety proportions in Table 1 needed to be corrected. The author reran the analysis and made the changes to Table 1, as well as revised two sentences and removed one.
On page 439, Table 1 was changed from (left) to the revised Table 1 (right; updated text appears in bold.):

In addition, under Results on page 439, changes were needed to the following sentence:
“While there was little variation in the proportion of women who met the cutoff for high anxiety using the EPDS subscale and STAI-S (Table 1), there was no significant correlation between the two measures.”
The sentence should have appeared as:
The STAI-S was significantly correlated with the EPDS depression score (r = 0.57, p = 0.003) and EPDS anxiety subscale score (r = 0.53, p = 0.006) at 8 weeks.
Under Discussion on page 440, edits were needed to the sentence:
“It is important to note that anxiety as measured by the STAI-S was not significantly associated with depression or breastfeeding cessation whereas the EPDS anxiety subscale yielded significant findings.”
The sentence should have appeared as:
It is important to note that anxiety as measured by the STAI-S was not significantly associated with breastfeeding cessation whereas the EPDS anxiety subscale yielded significant findings.
Also under Discussion on page 440, the following sentence was removed:
“Also, while most women met the cutoff for high anxiety using both measures EPDS anxiety subscale and STAI-S subscale scores were not significantly correlated, suggesting that they are capturing distinct symptoms.”
The authors apologize for the errors.
