Errata

PMCID: PMC7062458  PMID: 32135071

The January 20, 2020, article by Lluch et al, entitled “Phase III Trial of Adjuvant Capecitabine After Standard Neo-/Adjuvant Chemotherapy in Patients With Early Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (GEICAM/2003-11_CIBOMA/2004-01)” (J Clin Oncol 10.1200/JCO.19.00904), was published with errors.

In Figure 2:

  • The panel referring to OS on the basal phenotype was labeled panel E and positioned along the left side of the figure. It should have been labeled panel D and placed along the right side of the figure, paired with panel C (DFS on the basal phenotype).

  • The panel referring to DFS on the nonbasal phenotype was labeled panel D and placed along the right side of the figure. It should have been labeled panel E and placed along the left side of the figure, paired with panel F (OS on the nonbasal phenotype).

The Figure 2 legend read: “(A, C, D) Disease-free survival (DFS) and (B, E, F) overall survival (OS) Kaplan-Meier curves on the intention-to-treat population and subpopulations based on the immunohistochemistry phenotype.” It should have read: “Disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) Kaplan-Meier curves on the intention-to-treat population and subpopulations based on the immunohistochemistry phenotype. (A) DFS on the ITT population. (B) OS on the ITT population. (C) DFS on the basal phenotype. (D) OS on the basal phenotype. (E) DFS on the nonbasal phenotype. (F) OS on the nonbasal phenotype.

In the Results section, the final sentence of the second paragraph of the Efficacy subsection read: “Figures 2C and 2D show the Kaplan-Meier curves for DFS and OS, respectively, in the basal and nonbasal phenotype subpopulations.” It should have read: “Figures 2C and 2D show the Kaplan-Meier curves for DFS and OS, respectively, in the basal phenotype subpopulation. Figures 2E and 2F show the Kaplan-Meier curves for DFS and OS, respectively, in the nonbasal phenotype subpopulation.

This has been corrected as of January 29, 2020. Journal of Clinical Oncology and the authors apologize for the errors.
