Errors in Data and Units of Measure

In the Original Investigation titled “Risk Factors Associated With Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and Death in Patients With Coronavirus Disease 2019 Pneumonia in Wuhan, China”¹ published online March 13, 2020, there were data errors and incorrect units of measure used in the Results section and Tables 2, 3, and 4. The correct reference value of lactate dehydrogenase is 120 to 250 U/L, and the number of patients with value above the reference is 135 of 198 (68.2%). The correct number of patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome and cardiac disease who are alive is 1 of 40 (2.5%), with a difference from those who died of 6.6 (95% CI, −5.6 to 18.8; P = .42). The correct units of measure to report white blood cells, neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, and platelets is 10⁹/L; for total bilirubin is μM; for interleukin-6 is pg/mL; and for CD3, CD4, and CD8 T cells is 100/μL.
