Correction to “Physical activity and the risk of liver cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis of prospective studies and a bias analysis” by Sebastian E. Baumeister et al. JNCI J Natl Cancer Inst (2019) 111(11): djz111
The total number of liver cancers is 6,440 and not 2,738, and has been corrected in the Abstract Results and main text Results on page 6, paragraph 3, line 3. The number of incident liver cancer cases for Wen et al.is 1,676. [ref. 22]; and for Yun et al. 2,676 [ref. 24]. The numbers have been corrected in the related Table 1 and Figure 2. For the subgroup analysis on liver cancer mortality, one study was missed in our report, and the meta-analysis was updated by including the study findings for liver cancer mortality by Wen et al. [ref. 22]. Descriptive data has been added to Table 1, and the results of the updated meta-analysis are shown in the corrected Table 2. The corrected hazard ratio for liver cancer mortality was 0.80 (95% CI: 0.68; 0.94, Cochran Q P for subgroup difference = 0.45).
The interpretation and conclusions provided in the article did not change because of the correction.
