As Ajith Kannangara has pointed out,1 it is fitting to pay tribute to our heroic health care workers on the front lines who are caring for persons suffering from COVID-19. Besides giving them the honor of special cutaneous signs, I think it is also important to remember by name those who have died. The following is a list of physicians, active and retired, who have perished in the United States as of May 7, 2020. It is taken from a list of more than 1,000 health care workers who have died worldwide from COVID-19.2
