The March 20, 2018, article by Dieli-Conwright et al entitled “Effects of Aerobic and Resistance Exercise on Metabolic Syndrome, Sarcopenic Obesity, and Circulating Biomarkers in Overweight or Obese Survivors of Breast Cancer: A Randomized Controlled Trial” (J Clin Oncol 10.1200/JCO.2017.75.7526) was published with an error.
In the Outcome Measures section of the Methods, the formula to calculate the metabolic syndrome (MetS) z-score read as:
[(50 − HDL) /5.5] + [(TG − 15) /25.5] + [(Glucose−100)/15.9] + [(waist circumference − 88)/8.8] + [(SBP−130)/11.4] + [(DBP − 85) /10.8]
It should have read as:
[(50 – HDL) /5.5] + [(TG − 150) /25.5) + [(Glucose – 100) /15.9] + [(waist circumference – 88) /8.8] + [(SBP – 130) /11.4] + [(DBP – 85) / 10.8]
This has been corrected as of May 10, 2020. The authors apologize for the error.
