Timescales of the postictal state. The duration of the postictal state differs in terms of clinical manifestation; T1 (red) represents the short duration of seconds to minutes; T2 (orange) includes hours, reflecting physical and cognitive symptoms; T3 (yellow) represents days to weeks, in which psychiatric symptoms as postictal psychosis may occur.
