Appendix 1—table 4. Comparison of the angular velocity ω determined from the physical skew model with experimentally measured average spindle skew rates.

The angular velocity ω is calculated for each condition using Equations S21 with R=4.5μm and v=(va+vp)/2 (see Appendix 1—table 3). Γ is given by Equation S23, with the hydrodynamic lengths L=24.8μm and R=18.7μm (Figure 5—figure supplement 3), and the measured contact surface areas on the future left and right side given by AL=166.13±22.63μm2 and AR=210.49±39.9μm2, respectively. Theory error: ± propagated uncertainty, Measurement error: ± 95 % confidence interval
