The authors regret omitting the citation of a bioRxiv preprint study by Poh et al (2019) who independently discovered the role of SiaB and SiaC in phosphorylation‐dependent regulation of SiaD activity and biofilm formation. This study used a different methodological approach and did not describe the SiaB–SiaC complex structure. The reference is herewith added.
