Correction to: SARS2-CoV-2 and Stroke in a New York Healthcare System

PMCID: PMC7469869  PMID: 32716821

In the article by Yaghi et al, “SARS2-CoV-2 and Stroke in a New York Healthcare System,” which published online on May 20, 2020 (Stroke. doi: 10.1161/STROKEAHA.120.030335), corrections are needed.

In the title, “SARS2-CoV-2” should read “SARS-CoV-2.”

On page 2005, in Table 1, the ASCOD in patient 17 is listed as “A0 S0 C0 O1 D0.” It should read “A3 S3 C1 O2 D0.” In the Table 1 legend, the unit for troponin level should read “ng/mL,” and the unit of C-reactive protein should read “mg/L.”

On page 2007, under “Univariate Analyses,” the first sentence reads, “… had higher peak D-dimer level (median [IQR] in ng/mL: >10000 [7427] versus 525 [2871], P=0.011) …”. It should read, “… had higher peak D-dimer level (median [IQR] in ng/mL: >10000 [7427] versus 526 [2752], P=0.023) …”.

On page 2008, in Table 2, in row “Highest D-dimer (ng/mL) level during hospitalization, median (IQR),” column “COVID-19 Negative (B)+ (n=46)” should read “526 (2752)” and column “P Value (A vs B)” should read “0.023.”

On page 2008, under “Binary Logistic Regression Analyses,” the first sentence reads, “… patients with COVID-19 had non-significantly higher admission NIHSS score (odds ratio [OR] per point increase 1.14 [95% CI, 0.99–1.31], P=0.079) …”. It should read, “… patients with COVID-19 had non-significantly higher admission NIHSS score (odds ratio [OR] per point increase 1.13 [95% CI, 0.98 – 1.30], P=0.085 …”.

On page 2008, in Table 2 and Table 2 legend, the unit for troponin level should read “ng/mL,” and the unit of C-reactive protein should read “mg/L.”

On page 2009, in Table 3, under Model 1, in row “Age per year increase,” column “P Value” should read “0.371.” In row “NIHSS score per unit increase,” column “Adjusted Odds Ratio (95% CI)” should read “1.13 (0.98–1.30)” and column “P Value” should read “0.085.” The row “Highest fibrinogen per 100 unit increase” should be changed to “Highest d-dimer per 100 unit increase,” and column “P Value” in this row should read “0.093.”

Also on page 2009, the P value for the higher peak d-dimer level reads “0.114.” It should read “0.093.”

These corrections have been made to the current online version of the article, which is available at https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/STROKEAHA.120.030335.
