The Telemark Breast Score: A Valid Method for Evaluation of Outcome after Breast Surgery—Erratum

PMCID: PMC7544255  PMID: 33133989

The authors wish to acknowledge an error in their article “The Telemark Breast Score: A Valid Method for Evaluation of Outcome after Breast Surgery,” published in volume 5, issue 2 of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Global Open, e1240. The article presents the Telemark Breast Score for the evaluation of breast-conserving surgery and breast reconstruction following cancer. All the figures in Begic and Stark, 20171 were drawn by the authors, but the frontal projections in Figure 1 bear a strong resemblance to the frontal projections in Figure 1 previously published by David T. Netscher of Netscher et al.2 This relationship should have been made clear in the figure legend, which should have read:

Fig. 1. Telemark Breast Score. (Above) Upper breast pole; (center) ptosis, and (below) aesthetic proportions and symmetry. Small scale in the upper right corner concerns size. Frontal projections are based on idea from Netscher DT et al: Aesthetic outcome of breast implant removal in 85 consecutive patients. Plast Reconstr Surg. 1997;100:206-219.
