The plaque assay results for MNV with/without the addition of a bacterial strain. Prior to inoculation, centrifugation was performed as a measure to remove the virus particles bound to bacterial cells from the mixture. The extent of virus–bacterium binding is therefore reflected by the drop in plaque-forming unit (PFU) count.
