Growth factors, aggregated over the full year and displayed for 20-year periods. The baseline weather timeline from 2026 on consists of looped data from 2001 to 2020. Therefore, no changes are visible in the future timeframe from 2026 to 2100. In the RCP8.5 scenario, increased transpiration causes average soil moisture to decrease, leading to more severe water stress (indicated by a rise in days with REW ≤ 0.4) that increases from approximately 50 to 70 days per year compared to the baseline scenario. These effects are less pronounced in the RCP4.5 scenario. Drought stress is partially mitigated by increased annual precipitating sums in the climate change scenarios.
