p_n, p_s,w₅₀, and p_m describe the shape of the transition of the age-width relation curve. w_min denotes the assumed minimum ring width (see Section 2.2.1). N corresponds to the number of distinct ages (years) in the modelling of the age width relationship. Width was modelled on one assembled age timeline for each species. The low r² value for Acer pseudoplatanus can be explained by the low number of seven sampled trees.
