The paper contained multiple image and data duplications from a previously published paper of ours (Rosario CJ, Hanson BR, Tan M, Mol Microbiol 94:888–897, 2014, https://doi.org/10.1111/mmi.12804). Five panels were duplicated in Fig. 4, three in panel A (dnaK P2, pgk P1+P2, and bioY P2) and two in panel B (bioY P2 and pgk P2). In addition, transcription gels for 3 of the 6 promoters in Fig. 4B and their quantifications shown in Fig. 4C were duplicated from Fig. 2 of our Molecular Microbiology paper. We apologize for the errors.
