SARS-CoV-2 replication in primary human bronchial airway epithelium (HAE) over a course of 21 days. HAE-ALIB4-20 and HAE-ALIB9-20 cultures were infected with SARS-CoV-2 at an MOI of 2 from the apical side. At the indicated days postinfection (dpi), the apical surface was washed with 100 μl of D-PBS to collect the released virus. Plaque-forming units (PFU) were determined (y axis) and plotted to the day postinfection. Values represent means ± standard deviations (SD) (error bars).
