The article ‘Role of C596 in the C-terminal extension of the haemagglutinin–neuraminidase protein in replication and pathogenicity of a highly virulent Indonesian strain of Newcastle disease virus’ which was published in Journal of General Virology in February 2014 has been retracted. This follows formal findings of research misconduct from the Office of Research Integrity (ORI). In Figure 1b, the bottom band was shown to have been used in Kim et al. (2014) [1] to represent the expression of Newcastle Disease Virus haemagglutinin-neuraminidase proteins in DF1 cells after 24 h infection with six modified rNDV virus strains at MOI of 1.
