In the Original Investigation titled “Development and Validation of a Comprehensive Model to Estimate Early Allograft Failure Among Patients Requiring Early Liver Retransplant,”1 published online on October 28, 2020, there were missing degrees in the byline and errors in the equation for the Early Allograft Failure Simplified Estimation (EASE) score in the Results section. In the byline, the degrees listed for the 4th author Quirino Lai should be MD and PhD, and the degrees listed for the 23rd author Vincenzo Mazzaferro should be MD and PhD. In the Results section, the equation for the EASE score should read 0.958 + (0.044 × MELD score at transplant) + (0.065 × PRBC) + (2.567 × thrombosis on days 1-10) + [0.000534 × AUC2 for ln (AST level) on days 1, 2, 3, 7, and 10] + [−0.093 × AUC for ln (platelet count) on days 1, 3, 7, and 10] + [−7.735 × slope for ln (platelet count) on days 1, 3, 7, and 10] + (0.735 × slope for bilirubin level on days 1, 3, 7, and 10) + (−0.402 × high-volume center), where MELD indicates Model for End-stage Liver Disease, PRBC indicates packed red blood cell, AUC indicates area under the curve, and AST indicates aspartate aminotransferase.
