In the May 2020 issue of the Journal of Laparoendoscopic & Advanced Surgical Techniques (vol. 30, no. 5; 501–507), the article titled Operative and Postoperative Complications of Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy in Super and Nonsuper Obese Patients: A Center of Excellence Experience Comparative Study by Vilallonga et al., requires a correction due to a transcription error that transposed column heads for BMI n values in Tables 1 and 3.

Table 1.

Baseline Demographics and Characteristics of Body Mass Index <50 kg/m2 and Body Mass Index >50 kg/m2 Patients, Undergoing Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy

 Indication GERD 27 (5.46) 5 (2.29) .076

BMI, body mass index; GERD, gastroesophageal reflux disease.

In the article, Table 1, page 503, top left column, the BMI n values in the two column heads, (n = 328) and (n = 198) were erroneously transposed with the BMI n values in the two column heads in Table 3, page 503 top right column (n = 495) and (n = 218). Additionally, the two column heads in Table 3, page 503 top right column, the BMI n values in the two column heads (n = 495) and (n = 218) were erroneously transposed with the BMI n values in the two column heads in Table 1, page 503, top left column (n = 328) and (n = 198).

The tables were originally published as:

They should have appeared as:

Table 1, page 503, top left column, the BMI n values in the two column heads should be (n = 495) and (n = 218).

Table 3, top right column page 503, the BMI n values in the two column heads should be (n = 328) and (n = 198).

In addition, the authors added a sentence to the end of the Methods section:

For long-term follow-up analysist, only patients with a minimum follow-up of 2 years were included.

The online version has been corrected.

The authors sincerely apologize for this error.
