In the original published version of this article, Table 1 was used from “Determination of elemental composition and median lethal dose of calabash chalk” by MB EKONG, AI PETER, TB EKANEM and EE OSIM published in Int J Biol Med Res. 2015; 6 (2): 4902–4906 as the corresponding author was unaware of that publication. To properly attribute credit to the work done and already communicated to the scientific community, Table 1 has been removed from the publication here and the sentence referring to it.

The presence and quantities of the different metallic elements in the calabash chalk is presented in Table 1 was replaced with:

The additional reference was added to the publication.
