Correction to: Mortality in COVID-19: Further Evidence for a Sex-Based Difference in the OpenSAFELY Study, by Connie B. Newman: J Women's Health 2021;30(1):61–63; DOI: 10.1089/jwh.2020.8777

PMCID: PMC7962467  PMID: 33667130

In the January 2021 issue of Journal of Women's Health (vol. 30, no. 1; 61–63) the article entitled Mortality in COVID-19: Further Evidence for a Sex-Based Difference in the OpenSAFELY Study by Connie B. Newman requires correction to a numeral error.

On page 61, third paragraph, the first sentence read:

New data from OpenSAFELY, a cohort study of 17 million adult patients of primary care practices in England, including 10,296 who died from COVID-19 complications, provides support for sex-based differences in mortality even after adjusting for comorbidities, clinical risk factors, and social determinants of health.

The sentence should read:

New data from OpenSAFELY, a cohort study of 17 million adult patients of primary care practices in England, including 10,926 who died from COVID-19 complications, provides support for sex-based differences in mortality even after adjusting for comorbidities, clinical risk factors, and social determinants of health.

The online version of this article has been corrected to reflect the correction.

The author apologizes for this oversight.
