The analyses were conducted in 1161 participants in the SHFS and 271 participants in the SHS and included adjustments for age, sex, site, education, smoking, physical activity, BMI (Kg/m²), waist circumference and LDL levels. Results from the two cohorts were combined in meta-analyses.
