Starting from 2021, IBRO Reports will be renamed as IBRO Neuroscience Reports. The journal will remain as a peer-reviewed open-access journal under the purview of the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO), as IBRO Reports has been since its establishment in 2016.
The new title IBRO Neuroscience Reports recognizes our role as a platform for neuroscientists to exchange knowledge on brain research and cognate disciplines concerning the brain. This initiative further highlights the partnership between IBRO Neuroscience Reports and our sister journal Neuroscience, also under the purview of IBRO.
In alignment with the key aim of IBRO in “bringing neuroscience to the world”, our journal continues to be a platform for scientists worldwide to appreciate neuroscience research. With continued support from neuroscientists worldwide, IBRO has been able to designate resources for promoting and supporting neuroscience around the world through educational support from IBRO Schools and Young IBRO grants for conferences/scientific collaboration over the past six decades. To this end, the journal will organize mini-series for contributions from IBRO regions (Africa, Asia/Pacific, Europe, Latin America, US/Canada, and Middle East/North Africa), IBRO School alumni, recipients of IBRO grants, as well as works from early career neuroscientists.
Our journal will continue to publish papers describing the results of original research on any aspect of the scientific study of the nervous system. The journal will consider for publication any article that is methodologically sound, including negative data. Replication studies are also welcomed when justified with a scientifically sound rationale. We welcome preliminary, descriptive and small-scale results if they have the potential to stimulate and/or contribute to future research, leading to new insights or hypotheses.
