Introduction: With an increase in demand for esthetics, emphasis must be given to proper selection of teeth being replaced while fabricating any dental prosthesis and removable partial dentures are no exception. While fabricating cast partial dentures, resin teeth are routinely used because of their inherent advantages. However, resin teeth when used to replace anterior single tooth edentulous space may frequently pose problem in shade matching with adjacent natural or restored artificial teeth. This necessitates characterization, the results of which may not be predictable and long-lasting. Use of porcelain denture teeth too do not seem to be a viable option in such cases as these are available in specific shades, are difficult to grind and adjust, are costly and their retention to denture base is always a problem. Further, most of the alloys routinely used for cast partial denture framework fabrication such as cobalt-chromium alloys, exhibit poor bond characteristics with porcelain unless a metal conditioner is applied which increases overall cost.
Methodology: This clinical report describes an innovative technique of using a fixed custom porcelain-fused-to-metal crown (PFM) as a part of removable cast partial denture to match with shade and appearance of adjacent multiple PFM restorations.

Conclusion: This simple and predictable technique can help overcome the problem of shade mismatch which may exist between stock resin tooth of partial denture and adjacent porcelain restorations and it does not require any special armamentarium.
