The first sentence in the third paragraph of the ‘Introduction’ section is incorrect. The sentence should be as follows:
‘As a feature of these systems was the ability to prepare large quantities of K48 and K63 linkages as free, unanchored chains, this greatly facilitated biochemical study and accelerated our understanding of the cellular roles of these linkage types.’
