Since its publication, the authors of Praz et al. (2017) have brought to our attention an error in their article. It was stated in the article that all of the additional effector genes encoded within the AvrPm2 locus did not result in HR when co‐infiltrated with the Pm2 gene in transient assays in Nicotiana benthamiana. However, in further experiments, it has been determined that the co‐infiltration of the effector gene BgtE‐5843 with the Pm2 resistance gene does result in weak HR.

We apologize to our readers for this mistake.
