Corrigendum: Active and Unidirectional Acceleration of Biaryl Rotation by a Molecular Motor

Edgar Uhl, Peter Mayer, Henry Dube
PMCID: PMC8097618  PMID: 33751784

The authors of this Research Article have noticed an error in the Supporting Information. The structural indicators in Figures 47–50 accidently show the wrong absolute stereo‐configuration with (R)‐configured sulfoxide stereo‐center instead of the correct (S) configuration corresponding to the shown ECD spectra.

In the corrected Supporting Information published online along with this Corrigendum this error has been corrected, and the Figure captions now state that the compared calculated ECD spectra were based on the enantiomers with (R)‐configured sulfoxide and mirrored to match the experimental ones.

Explicit stereo‐configuration assignments were added to the captions of Figures 65–72 to indicate what the absolute stereo‐configurations of the calculated structures were.

Finally, the word “almost” was added to the description of the ECD spectra extraction procedure (page 65 of the Supporting Information):

“At −50 °C DR‐1 is almost completely converted to AT‐1 allowing for the analogous extraction of a pure AT‐1 spectrum.”

The authors apologize for any inconvenience caused and emphasize that this correction does not in any way change any of the results, contents, or conclusions of this work, which only rely on the relative stereo‐configurations not the absolute ones.
