Table 2.

Radiative transitions (ω0, ω0) for dye-doped silica shell in the absence (SiO2 nanoparticles with a mean diameter of 60 nm as the core) and presence (gold nanostars with a size of about 60 nm as the core) of the plasmon field. The plasmon resonance frequency (ωb) and linewidth (γb) is 1.648 eV and 498 meV for gold nanostars. The parameters (ωb, ω0, ω0, γ0) are obtained by fitting the experimentally measured absorption and PL spectra. The coupling strength λ is calculated based on eq. (5).
