The corresponding author has informed the editors of an error in the ‘Materials and methods’ section of this article, first published on 28 May 2016 in Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com).

In the paragraph entitled ‘Induction of anti‐MPO crescentic glomerulonephritis’, the type of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) used in the experimental model was described as “from E. coli serotype 0111 B4; Enzo Life Sciences, Exeter, UK”.

The correct description is “from Escherichia coli R515; Enzo Life Sciences, UK – catalogue number ALX‐581‐007‐L002”.
