Minor Errors to Power Calculation Information

In the Original Investigation entitled “Fixed Low-Dose Triple Combination Antihypertensive Medication vs Usual Care for Blood Pressure Control in Patients With Mild to Moderate Hypertension in Sri Lanka: A Randomized Clinical Trial”¹ published in the August 14, 2018, issue of JAMA, there were minor errors to the power calculation information. In the Statistical Analysis section, first sentence, “provide 90% power to detect a 12% absolute improvement” should have been “provide 90% power to detect a 12.4% absolute improvement.” In the next sentence, toward the end of the sentence, “(relative risk [RR] of 1.24)” should have been “(relative risk [RR] of 1.25).” This article was corrected online.
