Ten years ago, in 2011, we founded Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B (APBS) with the goal of creating a global high-level forum centered around drug discovery and pharmaceutical research/application. Our first priority was and will always be to serve our readers and the best way is to diligently curate our publications to ensure the high quality of our articles. For our efforts, APSB was included by the Chemical Abstract in 2011, accepted by PubMed Central in 2015, indexed by Science Citation Index in 2017 and has evolved to become one of the most important international journals in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.

In celebrating the achievements of APSB over the past 10 years, we would like to express our undying appreciation for the support from our readers, authors, reviewers, members of Editorial Board, staffs in the editorial office, and our publisher Elsevier, as well as our sponsors Chinese Pharmaceutical Association and Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. Their knowledge, enthusiasm for innovation, truth-seeking spirit, professional operation, and tireless efforts built our journal into the world-class periodical that it is today.

Drug therapy is one of the most important and commonly pursued solutions in disease treatment. Successful drug discovery that can alleviate the suffering of mankind is the fruit of an interwoven collaboration in research amongst many fields, including chemistry, biology, medicine, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, physics, computer science, material science, and others. With the precious commemoration of our 10-year anniversary, on the behave of the editorial committee and office, I wish APBS great success in its service to the world as a trusted and comprehensive source of information for accelerating drug discovery in the name of humanity's eternal quest towards a better life.
