PMCID: PMC8255956  PMID: 34155123

MICROBIOLOGY Correction for “Visualizing active viral infection reveals diverse cell fates in synchronized algal bloom demise,” by Flora Vincent, Uri Sheyn, Ziv Porat, Daniella Schatz, and Assaf Vardi, which published March 11, 2021; 10.1073/pnas.2021586118 (Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U.S.A. 118, e2021586118).

The authors note, “The reference sequence used to design the psbA smFISH probes presented in the manuscript was based on RNAseq Illumina short read sequencing. We recently produced an updated E. huxleyi transcriptome obtained with PacBio long read sequencing. Therefore, we constructed a new set of psbA smFISH probes and validated all the conclusions that are presented in the manuscript. Dataset S2 contains the updated psbA reference sequence, individual smFISH probes, and corresponding location on the psbA transcript.” The new dataset has been added to the article’s Supporting Information.
