To comply with the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) Data Use Agreement, several cells in Table 1 of this article containing case number values ≤10 should have been masked. Therefore, numbers in the cells subject to this regulation have been removed. The following explanation was added under the “Statistical Analysis” section: "Cells ≤10 have been masked in accordance with HCUP's Data Use Agreement to protect the privacy of individuals who fall into said categories"; the following explanatory footnote has been added to the table legend: “Data are not presented due to small cell size.”

In addition, the footnote explaining estimate interpretations in Table 3 has been revised to include the hospitalization cost estimate, as follows: “Estimates (E) are presented as ORs, except LOS, which is presented as an IRR, and hospitalization cost, which is presented as a means ratio.” The same revision was made in the footnotes of Supplementary Tables 3 through 8.

Finally, for greater clarity, the words “means ratio” were substituted for “point estimate” in the abstract and the text discussion of the hospitalization cost estimate.

The authors sincerely apologize for these oversights. The online version of the article (https://doi.org/10.2337/dc19-2219) has been updated, as has the online supplementary material (https://doi.org/10.2337/figshare.12315743).
