BmooMPα-I induces the release of MCP-1 and adiponectin by preadipocytes. Preadipocytes were incubated with BmooMPα-I (0.24 µM), TNF-alpha (20 ng/mL—positive control), or DMEM (control) for 1, 3, 6, 12, 24, or 48. Concentrations of cytokines in culture supernatants were determined by CBA and adipokines were quantified by ELISA. Bar graphs show the release of (A) MCP-1, (B) IL-6, (C) KC, (D) adiponectin, (E) leptin and (F) resistin. Each value represents the mean ± SEM of 3 samples.
