Abstract

Cell‐plastics, in which green algal cells are used as a fundamental resource, have been fabricated which are able to convert CO2 directly into plastics via photosynthesis. In article number 2100026 by Kohei Iritani and co‐workers, polyvinyl alcohol‐cell‐plastics with high water absorption ability are successfully produced. The results open a route to fabricate sustainable and functional cell‐plastics for many useful purposes.
