PMCID: PMC8344513  PMID: 34270746

Corrigendum to: Clinical Characteristics and Outcomes of COVID-19-Infected Cancer Patients: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis by Kwok-Kin Wong et al. JNCI: J Natl Cancer Inst (2021); 113(4): 371-380.

In the originally published version of this manuscript, several errors were noted and listed in this corrigendum.

In the Results section, under the “Subgroup Analysis” sub-section, the following text should read: “the case fatality rate was 25.6% (95% CI = 16.0% to 36.2%) (Figure 3, D), 17.7% (95% CI = 8.1% to 29.1%) (Figure 3, E)” instead of “the case fatality rate was 25.6% (95% CI = 16.0% to 36.2%) (Figure 3, D), 27.6% (95% CI = 6.4% to 54.4%) (Figure 3, E)”.

In addition, the following text should read: “Statistically significant heterogeneity was observed among the case fatality rates in patients treated with chemotherapy (Q = 31.8, P < .001, I2 = 78.0%), whereas no substantial heterogeneity was demonstrated in patients receiving treatment with surgery (Q = 2.46, P = .65, I2 = 0.0%), immunotherapy (Q = 2.52, P = .77, I2 = 0.0%)” instead of “Statistically significant heterogeneity was observed among the case fatality rates in patients treated with chemotherapy (Q = 31.8, P < .001, I2 = 78.0%) and surgery (Q= 37.8, P < .001, I2 = 86.8%), whereas no substantial heterogeneity was demonstrated in patients receiving treatment with immunotherapy (Q = 2.52, P = .77, I2 = 0.0%).”

Figure 3 has been updated as follows:

These errors have now been corrected.
