XXIst MBC Meeting (Casablanca) – WEBINAR May 15, 2021

July 15-18, 2020 were the dates for what was to be a very exciting and informative XXIth MBC meeting at the Hayat Regency Hotel in Casablanca. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this event could not be held as planned. Instead, the MBC in collaboration with the Moroccan society of Plastic Surgery and Moroccan society of Anesthesia, Federación Iberolatinoamericana de Quemaduras, Società Italiana Ustioni, Société Francophone de Brûlologie, Asociación Española de Quemaduras, Hellenic Society of Wound Healing, Romanian Society of Plastic Surgery, and Association of Plastic Surgeons of Lebanese Descent, organized a Virtual Meeting - Webinar coordinated from Beirut on May 15, 2021. The webinar comprised various round tables with internationally renowned speakers about hot topics in burn patients’ care.

This XXIst Euro Mediterranean Council for Burns and Fire Disasters – MBC Meeting (Casablanca) – WEBINAR, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 8 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, participant physicians were able to convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.

Surpassing all our expectations, 296 participants contributed to the success of this scientific meeting. Participants were from Lebanon (22), Morocco (26), Romania (19), Turkey (17), Algeria (14), Oman (13), Indonesia (13), France (12), Italy (10), Greece (8), Egypt (6), Kuwait (6), Brazil (6), Spain (6), Saudi Arabia (5), India (3), Iraq (3), UAE (3), and many other countries such as Argentina, Belgium, Bulgaria, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Iran, Kosovo, Macedonia, Mexico, Pakistan, Portugal, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tunisia, US, and UK. 200 certificates were distributed to participants upon the filling of the evaluation form.
