Pseudogene lncRNA UBE2CP3 acts as a sponge for miR-138-5p and promotes GC progression through regulating miR-138-5p/ITGA2 axis. In addition, UBE2CP3 was negatively regulated by transcription factor ELF3, but positively regulated by IGFBP7 mRNA. ELF3 negatively regulates UBE2CP3 expression by directly binding to UBE2CP3 promoter. IGFBP7 mRNA forms duplex RNA with UBE2CP3 mRNA to stabilize UBE2CP3 mRNA via interacting with ILF3 protein.
