Because of an author error, the following sentence “Isolated proximal RTA is exceedingly rare, is associated with eye abnormalities, and is caused by mutations in the basolateral sodium/bicarbonate exchanger SLC4A4 (31)” is incorrect. The sentence should read as “Isolated proximal RTA is exceedingly rare, is associated with eye abnormalities, and is caused by mutations in the basolateral sodium/bicarbonate cotransporter SLC4A4 (31).”
