In the paper, Prevalence of Major Depressive Disorder and Socio-demographic Correlates: Results of a Representative Household Epidemiological Survey in Beijing, China, by Liu, Yan, Ma, et al. (10.1016/j.jad.2015.03.009), originally published in the July issue of 2015 of the journal, we found a few errors after double checking with previous drafts. We would like to make the following corrections. Of note, the errors occurred in the process of formatting or data transfer, none of the findings and conclusions were affected by the errors.

In Table 1, the degree of education of the samples should read as follows:

N %
Degree of education
Illiterate 800 4.99
Primary school 1612 10.05
Secondary school 4078 25.44
High school 3841 23.96
College and above 5701 35.56

In addition, in the column of “Multivariate factor regression analysis” in Table 4, the P value for sex should be <0.001, the value 0.002 should be deleted; and no significance was found regarding relationships with others, therefore no results should have been included. The corrected sections read as below:

Factor Level Multivariate factor regression analysis
Odds ratio 95% CI P value
Sex Male
Female 1.972 1.433–2.713 <0.001
Relationships with others
Good
Average
Poor
