Corrigendum to “Water, electricity and ion exchange; how Hamish Small sustained the evolution of ion chromatography” [Heliyon 7 (7) (July 2021) e07495]

In the original published version of this article, there were various errors throughout the article:

  • Grammatical and typographical errors appeared throughout the article and references list. These have now been corrected.

  • Some references to figures 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 were not correctly referred to the article text. This has now been corrected.

  • Figure 7 had a duplicated caption. The duplicate has since been removed.

  • The figures captions for Figures 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 were mislabeled. This has now been rectified.

  • Reference [23] (Perry S.C. Electrochemical synthesis of hydrogen peroxide from water and oxygen. Nat. Rev. Chem. 2019; 3:442–458) has now been replaced with J. M. Anderson, Jr., R. Saari-Nordhaus,; B. C. Benedict, C. W. Sims, Y. Gurner, H. A. Pham, US Patent 6,444,475 B1, Ion Chromatography Apparatus and Method For Removing Gas Prior to Sample Detection, 1999.

All the above listed errors have now been corrected. The author apologizes for these errors. Both the HTML and PDF versions of the article have been updated to correct the errors.
